good god there is a lot to design. i think civic studio is my only class i will have portfolio pieces from this semester.

Walking around with marc Horowitz is like being on jackass. utterly patronizing, confrontational, and judgemental to anyone outside his own group. Talking with him is a completly different experience. he is down to earth and interesting, when you talk to him one on one. His projects are awesomely simple. what strikes me most is the quality of his photographs, that are displayed on his weblog. they are beautiful pictures, of everyday things. Micth was more quite and reserved but his images are also awesome. the more project that he is working on is hailairous and i think, very well executed. all in all these were some of the best visiting artists i have ever seen at grand valley. they were young, involved and not snotty or aloof.

being in the studio outside of class, just makes me want to have my own abandoned storefront to live in and have as a studio and store for blame. also the nice church ladies from next door who let me in said there are mice in the studio and in the church.
