Katie Pilbeam
This is my first year at Grand Valley, transferring from a community college. I'm excited to meet new people and begin my classes here at this awesome school.
My major is Graphic Design, but I have some prerequisite classes to get out of the way. I was very excited to get accepted into the Art Department here, as I've heard it is a challenge.
I included my Cedar Point pass because I love spending many days during the summer at the best amusement park on the planet. Showing horses also occupies a lot of my time during the summer. I just turned 20, so my horse showing days are coming to a close; however, I hope to have horses of my own someday after I graduate from college.
On the days I'm not having fun, I work for my parents in a little town called Tecumseh, down where I came from about 45 minutes south of Ann Arbor. I haven't looked for a job up here yet, wanting to get settled into my schedule first. I should start looking soon to support my shopping habit!
