Wow... what a character Bruce is!He speaks with dramatic hand language, metaphors and talks in circles much like his work.
I guess i am always expecting to be impressed when i go see a visiting artist but what i have come to learn its not about that.... yes the speaker/speakers are inspirational but not on a level of the work itself....i tend to be more impressed with the dedication and the massive time involvement.The ideas themselves appear to be unique on a level of one who does it versus one who just thinks about it (dreamers vs. doers).
I'm not sure i have the patience for that type of dedication on that large of scale....but i have always believed what goes around comes around which can be applied to all aspects of life including bruce's massive change project.The solution might be a small favor that we as a person,community,state,government can make together to fix a larger problem...i guess thats why they say every little bit counts!
I like other people get so self involved at times its easier to say i will do it later....and it seems when something tragic on a large scale happens personally to us is when we see the bigger picture.....
I guess that what i am impressed about bruce....he saw the bigger picture without the tragedy and used it as a tool for change that not only affected him but benefitted others while not compromising himself......Thats really a true and unique gift.
