Great first week of studios for cps. I'm looking forward to a great semester. Don't forget the chicago payment. Several of you left your purple slips in the studio. Any with ss#'s on them I destroyed. If you need another there are a few around the studio or you can get another at the front desk.A reminder for Thursday, Sept. 7th you should read and study the pink visual perception reading. Have the ideas in your mind ready to egage and use. Also I asked that you collect 10 images. These should be digital (preferably) on a camera, camera card, or removable media of your choice. They can come from digital camera or other digital sources. This is the first round of collecting images. We'll do this several times. I've given no specification about what the images should be. We'll get into that.
I'm very excited about the upcoming semester. We've laid a good ground upon which we can engage important ideas that are relevant to our shared practice in visual art. See you Thursday. -paul
I keep forgetting to give you this warning. Our wiki is wide open. Anyone can edit or hack in. No big deal because we can always use the history function to back it up to the correct spot. BUt, some hackers and pranksters put PORN on such sites. So be warned - if you get on the wiki and there is PORN or other inappropriate media - please let me know asap. You can also help by taking it down. The only way to prevent this is to put a password on the wiki, which might not be a bad idea. It just changes the whole dynamic.
