I'm not sure how helpful it'll be as it's only a free trial, but it's pretty neat nonetheless:

Type in a word and it'll give you synonyms in a fancy visual web. The words nearest to the center are the most relevant and from there it branches out to make further connections to other words. Clearly, the best part is dragging the little word nodes around. Fun for the whole family!
