Thrift Stores
This page was started by the Cps studio in the Fall of 2005. It is devoted to seeking out thrift stores in the Grand Rapids Area. If you have found any thrift/used stores, please share!
charitable thrift stores:
- Salvation Army (Division Ave., 28th St.)
- Goodwill (Division Ave, 29th St.),
- St. Vincent DePaul (Division)
- also, the christian schools have a thrift store called "New 2 You" on 29th St.
2nd hand:
- One Mans Junk (Leonard St.)
- Scavenger Hunt (Division Ave.)
- Nobody's Sweetheart (Fulton) (i just found out they're closing 40% off)
- Flashback (Division) -> very cool "vintage clothing" and we bought a crazy manequin for an art project too...sm
(flashbacks has gone out of business)
- Daddy-o's ([i'm not sure how to spell it.] (Fulton, right off Division by the UICA.) very similar to scavenger hunt.
- Time Left (in Allendale, on Lake Michigan Ave, same plaza as Family Fare on the right. You can take the 36 bus out that way) GV Students get 10% off
Antique:
- Phil's Stuff (Wealthy St.)
- Acanthus (Wealthy St.)
- there are a few on Fulton St. between Eastern & Fuller. new Eastown Antiques (Lake Dr.)
also good for cheap crap:
- Kent Novelty (Michigan Ave.)
- I've also heard rumors of some sort of junk shop on Leonard between Fuller & Ball behind the Dollar Tree that is only open on Tues & Thurs but ... as of now it is only a (slightly) "urban" myth (I haven't been able to locate it)
