Inspiration, or having a drive to change something in the world is something this world needs. When one looks back in history there are great leader trying to change things in the world to make it a better place, and even those most that come to mind are American's there are many others. For me, even though i am not a female, I felt a sense of guilt from the guerilla girls presentation. I guess when you are a white male it makes it hard to notice what it would be like to be the minority because in everything in the world, I'm usually not. I think the guerilla girls really made me feel like i should do something to help these problem, i guess when i saw them doing i felt myself want to do it too. I felt like this feeling related to the mirror neurons because i wanted to be helping them or i could see myself making the posters they did. I felt from that they were very inspirational to women, and men.
I couldn't believe their strong dedication for what they stand for. They have pretty much taken their lives and for no cost, tried to change the art world, and society view of women in all their stereotypes. I think way the pretty much installed their work all around New York was pretty edgey, and I couldn't believe they would break the law, but i guess when you're so dedicated to having your voice heard, they would and will do just about anything.
I think that work that we do in our installation and collection piece can be just as powerful as their work. I love how they take credit for big event changes, such as that two African American actors were give actor/actress of the year awards after they put a large billboard outside where the awards presentation was being held. This type of drive and ambition to make changes needs to consumer everyone, so that thing in the world do change for the better
