A friend of mine saw a cart full of beer and lil' smokies at the grocery store. Really full. Like heaping.

The "Puppy Bowl II" on Animal Planet was funny. One puppy received a time out for releaving himself on the endzone. All different breeds of dogs were involved in the Puppy Bowl. Dog breeding is a strange human domestication. Dogs are chosen and trained, and selected further for their differences. Humans created different breeds to fulfill desires and tasks. Herding (another domestication) hunting (subgroups like bird, duck, pointers, blood hounds) and also for show. Are athelites similar? Selectively chosen. Passing athletic talent to their kids. Trained and divided into groups, to do tasks, and ultimately, make a spectacle.
Or maybe just the cart full of weiners is the spectacle.

My mom almost got to be a red hat lady chasing the Rolling Stones across the field. I think the Red Hat phenomenon is hilarious and contradictory, and you know... lovely. I didn't really watch the superbowl, even though we made Ling, who's from China, turn on his TV to watch it, because "it is America."

is ure mum hot?? only kidding man. what is a red hat lady, im english we only have medium sized spectacles in my land. and usually they are a decent affair, with class and taste. paparrazzio who would tend to photograph the royal family playing sports like polo and riding horses etc are frounded upon.

premier league football, the world cup (which america is either not in or not good enough to be in) are the biggest spectacles in england i think. they are massive, and loud and crazy, but not blazing lights, major commercials etc. i think europe in general does go off the plot as much as america when it comes to anything. im not certain if that is a good or bad thing, im just saying that we tend to keep the original spectacle in focus. kiind of like watching a film and not being interuppeted every 2 minutes by a 5 minute commerical....maybe i am having a go. jackyp
