I have come to accept the fact that my post will always be a day late! Anyways...I am working on compiliing all of my wombats and pictures of them for my critique tomorrow. Today I am going into calder and getting big with one of them with a little help from Paul hopefully. I have wombats in Photoshop, Illustrator (vector design thanks to Terrance), digital pictures, and a couple of surprises! ;p Well I am off to go work so I will see you all tomorrow! Enjoy the weather!

It's not my fault for being late this week! Well, I guess in a way it is because I didn't do it earlier...but...my internet wouldn't let me connect to here or even GVSU site...so anyways...My wombat babies will be hitting the road very soon. They will make appearances around so keep an eye out for them. Plus, I will see how big I can make one and what other materials I could make one out of. I will do some in the computer and with other materials. I'm really excited to have them out soon, but I did hit a draw back with someone saying they were hamsters. Maybe I should put a disclaimer on them saying they are for a fact wombats.
On a side note, my windows in the front of Calder are up and will be for another week. It looked really good yesterday when I went in there to get some more pictures. Let me know what you all think of it! See you tomorrow!

Again I apologize for being late on this again this week! Things are rolling along with my projects. I still have to find some gels to put up on the windows and Calder for cheap. I will talk to the theatre department to see how much the gels will cost or I could borrow some. I also getting the materials together to do my mass production of my logo I came up with. Tomorrow you will be able to see the logo and I will bring the materials to do my mass production. See you all tomorrow! Here is my "logo" that I would like to put everywhere. Only one wombat will be the logo though. There is a reason behind the wombat, if you would like to know, just ask...

I have been playing around with ideas with mass media again. I would really like to do a comic book page in many different ways or mediums. Almost how the one artist did with the book, 99 Different Ways to Tell a Story. It interests me. Comics interest me because I have liked them ever since I was a little kid and I would like to do one some day. This would also help my skills in becoming a better artist for my future aspirations. Plus, it would push my storytelling skills to the next level. So I think this is an idea I would really like to pursue further and work on through this studio time.

My project has gotten some hitches in it so far. I have not been able to get to a computer with photoshop to work on the different forms of the ink wash I did in class last week (pictured below). Hopefully I can get those different forms done tonight for tomorrow's class. I am still leaning toward the project where I take the ink wash and 'mass produce' it for the class in different ways. I will do different colors of it in photoshop. I may also do a colored version of the wash in photoshop. Colored pencil, graphite, pen ink, charcoal, marker, ect. will be some other forms I was thinking about rendering this piece in. I may also add in a planarity aspect by having a pencil drawing or erasing part of a piece which I will draw myself. Let me know what you think and you will see the finished piece tomorrow in class! Can't wait to see what everyone else is doing!
