Exporting documents for use in InDesign CS2 (Save Back)
Save Backwards allows InDesign CS2 users to open InDesign CS3 documents that have been exported to the InDesign Interchange (.inx) format. To open these .inx files in InDesign CS2, you also need to first install the Adobe InDesign CS2 4.0.5 update. You can obtain this update by choosing Help >Updates, and then following the prompts in the Adobe Update Manager. Alternatively, the update can be downloaded from the Adobe Web site. Visithttp://www.adobe.com/go/downloads/ then click the link for the InDesign Updates.
Be aware that content created using functionality that is specific to InDesign CS3 might be modified or omitted when you open the file in InDesign CS2. For example, variables and gradient feathers (new features in InDesign CS3) drop out.
To export an InDesign Interchange file from InDesign CS3, please do the following:
1. Open or create a file in InDesign CS3.
2. Choose File >Export.
2. In the Export dialog box, select InDesign Interchange from the File Type menu (on Windows) or Formats menu (on Mac OS).
3. Click Save.
I'm changing the installation book requirement; you'll only need to construct 1book, instead of two.

"More or Less" marks a departure from the representational work

showcasing the newest suite of abstract paintings by two of West
Michigan's most established process painters: Linda LaFontsee and
Michael Schaeffer.Linda LaFontsee's sensitivity to the delicate
balance between color, movement and line conveys freedom of life
in her organic, intuitive mark-making. Using a variety of media,
including gouache, oil, and encaustic, her unique surfaces find
quiet resolution independent of representation. Michael Schaeffer
has taken advantage of the strongest elements of his prolific
body of work: color, texture, and form. These, in addition to his
heightened sensitivity to composition and color, make for a bold
and stylistically strong body of work. More...

Hey everyone,
Chip Kidd will be here NEXT WEEK!
In preparation for his talk Brett already put a handout from The Learners in everyone's mail box. It deals with typography and form/content. There is a great little video on You Tube that deals with the same issue. It is strange, hysterical, and wonderful:
