How I understood the text was that it described that interpretation of art, only demeans and lessens the value of art. I believe that art is in the eye of the beholder. It is interpreted differently by different people, it is only perceived as the viewer perceives it. Therefore I don't agree that interpretation of art is a negative attribute, I believe this creates many positive perspectives of a single piece of art.
