Senior Project Exhibition Information

In the semester prior to your Senior Project Exhibition, Gallery and Department staff will convene a meeting to organize the details for the Senior Project Exhibitions for the upcoming semester. Be sure you are on record with the Department and your Adviser with your intentions to do Senior Project.

Spaces are made in schedules of two University galleries for Senior Exhibitions for Studio Art and Illustration students: Padnos Gallery in Calder Art Center, and the Calder Gallery in the Performing Arts Center.

After the schedule is set, each exhibiting group should provide the name of a contact person for exhibition details.

Timeline

Barb Farah will provide all exhibitors with a timeline for the coordinated production of your exhibition. The following are the latest these things should happen. Working ahead allows you to make better decisions and lowers the risk of error.

Food and Beverage

Providing refreshments at the opening reception is optional. The Department provides your choice of Beverage for your opening reception. Please use this beverage selection form BFA Beverage selection.doc to indicate your preference and turn it in to Barb Farah in the Art Department Office. You are able to provide food for your reception as long as you comply with University and Gallery policy. This includes limiting the time of the reception to 2 hrs., obtaining a food waiver from Emil Rousseau (roussee@gvsu.edu), GVSU Food Services 331-2717.

All exhibitors sign a gallery agreement acknowledging the agreed-upon details for their exhibition. See the Gallery Policy section for details and forms.
