upon reviewing the material I immediately discovered that I was already a fan and familiar with the work of Tim Hawkinson. We had met once before in 1998 on the Beck Album "mutations" where is sculptures appeared in the CD booklet and my adolescent mind became perplexed. The pieces were grotesque in some ways, but nevertheless enthralling as I found my self compelled to look. So many years after first seeing images of his work I find we have met unexpectedly again. But now I have a name to go with these dismembered sculptures that have floated in my head for some time. Macaskill Wright
