Le Corbusier Group 3
Our group walked lot 3 and noticed some significant attributes that would mend well with a multi-use community. First, our concept was to integrate local businesses with its residents by providing a high-rise condominium. The condominium would utilize the first floor to house local businesses. We felt that this would be beneficial to business owners due to the potential business from residents and beneficial to residents due to the convenience of products and services. Secondly, we wanted to preserve open space and create an environment friendly to children and adults alike. A boardwalk along the Grand River along with a user-friendly park was a top priority. Additionally, we wanted to implement a pedestrian bridge over the river to invite GVSU students to our friendly community. Other added components were the establishment of a local market, coffee shop and recreational center.
