Judy Pfaff
- Born in London, Judy Pfaff studied all over the midwest. She obtained degrees from many schools including Wayne State, Southern Illinois, Washington University and Yale.
- Judy Pfaff has been known for her installations, drawings, sculptures and prints. Her installations create giant, organic shapes by using landscape, architecture, and color.
- According to the Art 21 website, Pfaff was considered "pioneer of installation art in the 1970's."
- Also according to Art 21, "she has extended her interest in natural motifs in a series of prints integrating vegetation, maps, and medical illustrations, and has developed her dramatic sculptural materials into set designs for several theatrical stage productions."
- Her installations are composed of salvaged metal, plaster, fiberglass, foam and steel. She has also been known to use natural objects such as grape vines and tree roots and branches.
