An upgrade to CS3 in the labs, particularly in CAC703. There is a known software conflict with Illustrator CS2 and OSX 10.4.8 that causes Illustrator to crash when the Pathfinder filter is used on Intel Macs. Published workaround does not work on all the computers in the lab, just some, making it impossible to teach the whole class. David Keister

One slide scanner. They got rid of all our slide scanners and there is no way to get scans now unless you go bother the slide library folks.

The illustration student studio room computers need to be updated as necessary to keep current with the labs. Any newer scavenged hardware would be nice.

Printmaking needs 2 computers that actually work. That is, replace the one that still does not work and add a second. We would need a second monitor as well. The second computer would need the usual array of software for a Mac. We also need a decent quality flatbed scanner, not a toy, not a 15,000 dollar Imacon either. A laser printer wuld also be useful for many things in printmaking,(B and W).
I am assuming you are talking about digital technology here and not the dozens of non digital technology we use in printmaking.
A digital camera, lens, spare battery and memory cards and readers would also be of extreme use to students who utilize printmaking technologies form all areas in our department.

The Metals Studio needs photoshop and illustrator on the studio computer. We have never had this and it is definitley an inconvenience for the students. It would increase the useage of the computer considerably.
