CPS project materials
Here are some supplies and materials you can be looking for for upcoming projects. It is great to bring actual things with you for use experientially in the studio. We can store things on the shelves and drawers. Keep in mind that some things might not work for projects, but are good to consider in the studio environment. Often they will lead to other - better ideas.
- images for use with the word / image project These can be from digital camera, internet, magazine, photography . . . . . usually narrative images work the best. We'll be most likely be doing these in grayscale.
- words for use with the word/ image project. This will make more sence as we get into the project, but for starters we'll be looking for 20 or so words to begin with.
- snack, fast food, product labels and packages to use with the label project. Bring in the actual label. We'll scan or digitally photograph them.
- 15 to 100 multiples of the same object for the installation project. These can be any size, but are usually smaller than your head. The best objects are the ones that offer some slippage in how they are perceived; either individually or how they configure and interact with each other.
- Objects, images, and containers for the collections project.
